Which New York Terminal Does Your Ship Use?
New York area cruises leave from three separate terminals in three different places, and one of them is in another state. Select your ship or line to confirm you’re heading to Bayonne.
Schedules change and ships get reassigned — if your ship isn’t listed, just call us with your ship and sail date.
Three Ports, One Metro Area
A cruise sold as a New York departure can leave from any of three terminals, and this one isn’t even in New York.
Cape Liberty
4 Port Terminal Blvd, Bayonne, New Jersey. Reached from Route 440 off NJ Turnpike Exit 14A. The exclusive New York area home port for Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises.
Manhattan Cruise Terminal
711 12th Avenue on the Hudson, Midtown West. Norwegian, Carnival and several premium and luxury lines.
View Manhattan OptionsBrooklyn Cruise Terminal
Red Hook, Pier 12, with no direct subway line. Cunard, Princess, Virgin Voyages and Disney.
Typing “New York cruise port” into a map app can send you to the wrong side of the harbor. Put in 4 Port Terminal Blvd, Bayonne, NJ — or call and we’ll confirm your terminal first.
From Route 440 to a Confirmed Spot
- Tell us your ship and sail date — Royal Caribbean moves ships between home ports by season, so we confirm you’re sailing from Bayonne.
- Tell us your vehicle — the garage has a 7-foot-4-inch height limit.
- Call Phone Reservations to check current availability.
- We confirm your spot and complete your reservation.
Cape Liberty Cruise Port & Nearby Parking
See how each option sits relative to the terminal. Tap a marker for details.
Manhattan Cruise Terminal is shown for reference only — it’s a different port, across the harbor. Tap its marker to go to that page. Brooklyn Cruise Terminal is also across the harbor and isn’t shown on this map. Newark Airport is nine miles away — lots near the airport are not walking or shuttle distance from this port unless the operator says so.
Cruise Parking Bayonne’s exact building location couldn’t be pinpointed on this map from its published address. Its address is listed below, and we confirm directions and shuttle details when you call.
Cape Liberty Cruise Parking Options
Both options below have been verified directly with the operator. No prices are shown here — call to check what’s currently available for your cruise dates.
Cruise Parking Bayonne
A lower daily rate than the port, and you know what you’re getting before you leave home. The only genuine off-port lot serving Cape Liberty. Its own site doesn’t publish shuttle times, so we confirm them with the operator when you call.
Call to Check AvailabilityCape Liberty Official Port Parking
You can’t reserve a space here, and you can’t choose which kind you get.
There’s no booking system — cameras read your plate on the way in and charge you on the way out. In peak season the covered garage is held for guests with a disability placard or plate, and everyone else parks outdoors in the overflow lots. That depends on the season, not on how early you arrive. It’s also the most expensive option at this port, and it bills both your departure day and your return day. Card only, no cash. 7-foot-4-inch garage limit.
Questions about the port lot? Call us — 888-365-1274Why most people we talk to end up off-port
The port lot is the closest you can get, and for some travelers that’s worth it. But it’s the highest rate at Cape Liberty, it charges for both your departure and return day, and there’s no way to hold a space or choose covered parking in advance — in peak season the garage is reserved for disability placards and everyone else parks outdoors.
Off-port, you reserve a specific space for specific dates at a lower daily rate, with a free shuttle to the terminal. You know what you’re getting before you leave the driveway.
Traveling in two cars? The gap roughly doubles. Call and we’ll do the math with you.
Situations Worth Mentioning When You Call
Traveling in two cars?
The port charges per vehicle, and it bills both your departure and return day. Two cars on a longer sailing adds up faster than most people expect. Call and we’ll do the math with you.
Tall vehicle, roof box or hitch?
The garage limit here is 7 feet 4 inches — lower than most cruise ports. Taller vehicles go to the open lot. Tell us what you’re driving before you set out.
Booked a hotel Park & Cruise package near the airport?
Ask whether the shuttle actually reaches Cape Liberty and not just Newark Airport terminals — that’s nine miles apart. Call us if you’re not sure what you booked.
